Summit – Burgdorf Hot Springs22 miles This ride descends 1000’ over 10.5 miles of singletrack via the 20 Mile Trail, then climbs 700’ on 5 miles of paved road to Sesech Summit, for the final 7 mile decent to a cozy camp near Burgdorf Hot Springs, Elev. 6100’ Cabins available for $35/person/night (dbbl occ) Leg 3Burgdorf – Salmon River20 miles For the morning ride we’ll travel north for 8 miles on a graded gravel road before dropping over 4000’in 12 miles down the French Cr. Salmon River Mountain Challenge 145 miles, 24 miles/day avg Climbs over 14,000’
Leg 1McCall – Lick Creek Summit18 miles Start at Gravity Sports Elev. 5000’ Ride east from McCall up the Lake Cr. drainage on a graded forest road, climbing 1900’ in 18 miles to the Lick Creek Summit Yurts for the first nights stay.
Leg 2Lick Creek Summit – Yellow Pine31 miles Start the day by descending 3000’ down the magical Lick Cr. Canyon to the confluence of the Sesech and South Fk. of the Salmon Rivers. After lunch we’ll ride another 15 miles of road along the East Fk. of the South Fk. of the Salmon River to the small town of Yellowpine, Elev. 4850’ for a nights stay in the local campground. Call for option to stay at the Alpine Village. Leg 3Yellow Pine – Edwardsburg22 miles After following the Salmon River for a couple more miles we’ll head north for a 10 mile climb up Profile Cr. to Profile Gap, Elev. 7500’. From there it’s another 10 miles downhill into Edwardsburg, Elev. 5700’ for a nights stay in the local campground. Call for option to stay at the Big Creek Yurts.
Leg 4Edwardsburg – So. Fk. Salmon River18 miles The next morning we’ll climb 2800’ in the First 7 miles to Elk Summit, Elev. 8670’, then drop down Elk Cr., over a vertical mile, to the South Fk. Of the Salmon River, elev. 3050’, where we’ll camp at the Shiefer Camp Ground.
Leg 5So. Salmon – Burgdorf Hot Springs25 miles Today’s the big day, climbing 3900’ up out of the canyon over Warren Summit, Elev. 6974, before dropping down to the old mining town of Warren, Elev. 6200’, for a well deserved break. Our last climb is only 600’ in the 5 miles leading up to Steamboat Summit. From there we can cruise the last 12 miles through Sesech Meadows finally arriving at Burgdorf Hot Springs for a soak and a night in a cozy camp. Cabins available for $35/person/night (dbbl occ)

Want to spend another night at the historic Burgdorf Hot Springs? Spend the day hiking, reading, and swimming or ride one the best single-tracks in Idaho…. The Loon Lake Loop…..24 miles roundtrip, or 15 with a shuttle to trailhead, at the Chinook Campground, 9 miles away on a gravel road. From there ride over 12 miles of awesome single-track through beautiful Idaho forest, visiting Loon Lake and Ruby Meadows, before returning to the hot springs, the last 2 miles on a gravel road.
