Winter's here....we've got snow!!!
Take the chill out of winter!! We've just finished our new sauna...located right next to the yurts with an amazing view of Beaverdam Peak. Imagine a nice relaxing sauna after a full day of powder skiing and a big, hearty alpine meal in our warm and cozy yurts, with you and a group of your best friends....now that's livin' the good life! Give us a call to book your stay this winter, the calendar is filling up but there are still plenty of nights available. Pray for snow and we'll see you in the mountains soon!

AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Class Jan. 5-7, 2008

Our first avalache class at the yurts was a huge success.....new friends were made, lots of smiles and face shots to go along with a lot of learnin'......mother nature cooperated and we got 12" each of the three days we were up there, three new feet of 6%-8% champagne powder, temps were in the single digits but we stayed warm in the yurts and from all the shovelin'.....by the time we had to leave our snowmobiles were just about gone.....how many can you see in the picture?     There are four there somewhere!

Thanksgiving 2007
We've got snow!  Temperatures have cooled and last weeks storm left us with 6" -12" of fluff on a very stout base. The rain saturated snowpack, comprised of several early season snows, has frozen solid, leaving some ideal conditions for early season turns. Marty, Y.T. & I hiked to the yurt on the 20th to find three feet of snow on the yurt deck. After a bit of shoveling, we set a skin line behind the yurt, where coverage increases dramatically above 7000', and we found good turns, especially on shady north slopes which have a 3' base with a foot of 9% powder on top. We came back for more on Thanksgiving....photo shows Oliver getting his piece of the pie early!    (click on photos to enlarge)

WINTER 2006 - 2007:
Greg Lawley, along with family and friends headin' up to the  Lick Creek Summit Yurts for the 2006 Holidays. We recieved 3 1/2 feet of snow out of the Christmas storm cycle, and he's checkin' in with local backcountry skiers Keith, Spenser and Carl to see what's goin' on. "Seasame Street" & Sawtooth Peak in the background.
Our 'NEW' 20' Dining Yurt is now a reality. Built in the fall 2006 with a 'lot' of help from our friends. We'd like to extend a big THANX  to over 20 friends  who helped make our dream come true!  Situated right next to the old 16' sleeping yurt, we can now accomodate over a dozen folks in style & .comfort, with excellent tree skiing just out the door.
Photos above taken during January high pressure while searching the shady nooks and crannies of the Lake Fork drainages for some crust free powder....
